Hub nuts are special nuts used to fix the outer hubs of cars. These automotive nuts don't have a national standard but generally follow similar specifications to ordinary hexagonal nuts, with models ranging from M12 to M42.

Compared to standard hexagonal nuts, hub nuts are typically thicker with fine threads (1.5mm-2.0mm pitch). They feature an equal-sided hexagonal shape with a tapered end.
