1,Description:

Shoulder screw are also called shaft shoulder screws, stop screws, stop bolts, brake bolts, equal-height screws, etc. The shoulder screw is used in conjunction with the bolt pull rod and is mainly used as a mold accessory to control the opening stroke between the fixed mold seat plate, the runner push plate and the fixed mold template in the three-plate mold.

 

Because it can be set on the parting surface of the mold, the mold design can be miniaturized. This type of product features high hardness, good toughness, excellent wear resistance and heat resistance. It is suitable for precision molds and can significantly extend their service life. Especially, the thermal deformation of precision molds has been effectively controlled, making it suitable for molds in high-temperature working environments  Its standard is ISO 7379. The material of the 12.9 grade plug screw is SCM435 alloy steel, with an overall hardness of HRC40°

2,Applications:

 

When installing the shoulder screws, it should be noted that the shaft diameter is a matching specification, which can facilitate the selection of shoulder screws and bolt tie rods. For example, when using D20 stop bolts, it is recommended to use D20 bolt tie rods. When the shoulder screw is used for the thickness of the seat plate, the bolt head is designed to be embedded in the seat plate by 2mm. Therefore, the relationship between the depth W of the countersunk hole and the stroke S is W equal to S plus the thickness K of the plug screw shoulder plus 2, and L equal to the thickness of the seat plate minus the thickness K of the stop bolt shoulder plus 2. When using the thickness of the flow channel push plate, the thread length of the shoulder screw embedded in the bolt pull rod is set to 1.5 times the thread diameter

 

3,Technical Advantages

Austenitic Stainless Steel (Austenitic Stainless Steel) refers to stainless steel that has an austenitic structure at room temperature. When steel contains approximately 18% Cr, 8% to 25% Ni, and 0.1% C, it has a stable austenitic structure. Austenitic stainless steel is non-magnetic and has high toughness and plasticity, but its strength is relatively low. It cannot be strengthened through phase transformation and can only be strengthened by cold working. If elements such as S, Ca, Se, and Te are added, it will have good machinability. 

 
The matrix structure of austenitic stainless steel is mainly composed of austenite phase (y phase) with a face-centered cubic lattice structure, and it is non-magnetic. Generally, solution treatment is carried out above 1000℃. It has no phase transformation point. With rapid cooling, a complete austenitic structure can be obtained, which is highly malleable, has excellent processability and corrosion resistance. According to the different alloying methods adopted to stabilize the austenitic matrix, austenitic stainless steel can be divided into two major series: Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel and Cr-Mn austenitic stainless steel. The former takes Ni as the main austenitizing element and is the main body of austenitic stainless steel. The austenitizing elements of the latter, in addition to Mn, also include N and often contain a small amount of Ni. Therefore, this series is mostly referred to as Cr-Mn austenitic stainless steel. Cr-ni series austenitic stainless steel contains about 18% Cr, 8% to 10% Ni, and generally less than 0.1% C, and has a stable austenitic structure.
